We have provided assistance to survivors since 2020. We want to continue this important work but we need your help.
CTA Wellness (Children's Theatre Alumni Wellness Fund) is a nonprofit organization founded by several plaintiffs from the 2015 lawsuits filed against The Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis. We are assisted by an advisory committee of alumni and mental health professionals.
CTA Wellness is here to help support the healing of students, alumni, and child artists of the Children’s Theatre from 1965 through 1986 who were impacted from their time there.
There are many paths to healthy living, so support might look different from person to person. We recognize the need for a variety of paths toward healing. Our consultants have connected alumni to the best options available to them depending on their needs
At this time, we continue to serve existing clients but are not currently accepting new applicants for ongoing services. However, alumni can still get assistance in finding resources to help in their healing journey from our trained consultants. If you would like to have a conversation with a consultant, please email Dawn@mcclellandphd.com
For those who are deeply struggling, CTA Wellness is not an emergency hotline. If you are in need of immediate support, please call the RAINN Hotline at 1-800-656-4673
Joining this mailing list provides updates on news and activities. It does not add you to the application process for the fund.
CTA Wellness would like to thank the members of Standing With CTC Survivors, the Minnesota Theater Accountability Coalition (MNTAC), and the Artist Community Council for their support and commitment to accountability. They have had their own experiences with Children's Theatre, separate from the plaintiff group. To read the latest update from the Artist Community Council, you can access their public letter here. These groups formed in the summer of 2019 and amplified the efforts of survivors, attempting to address community concerns with Children's Theatre directly. CTA Wellness is committed to these ongoing relationships. With this continued community engagement, the theatre will be held accountable to its commitments to survivors and to transforming the institution to prevent future harm.
We value, respect and support each person's timing for healing and being in charge of one's own process. Everyone has the right to take time to move forward at an individual pace, while being held with tenderness and care.
